Roomify Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and design Roomify to minimize data collection.
Room scanning and 3D measurement are processed locally on your device and can be used offline.
Room Redesign is an optional feature that requires an internet connection and sends the image you choose (plus your selected settings) to an AI processing provider to generate redesigned images.
2. Camera Access
Roomify may request camera access to perform room scanning, 3D measurements, and (optionally) to capture a photo for Room Redesign.
A) Room Scanning & 3D Measurements (On-Device)
Purpose: Use the camera to scan rooms and create 3D models locally on your device.
Data Handling: Camera footage used for scanning/measurement is processed on-device. It is not uploaded by Roomify to our servers.
Important: Room scanning and measurement can function offline (no internet connection required).
B) Room Redesign (Cloud Processing — Optional)
Purpose: Generate redesigned room images using AI.
What is sent: The image you select/capture for redesign, your selected style/options, and any text prompt you enter (if applicable).
Where it is processed: The image and inputs are sent to Replicate (our AI processing provider) to run the model and return the generated results to your device.
Retention (Replicate): For predictions created through the Replicate API, Replicate states inputs/outputs/logs are automatically removed after about 1 hour by default. (If you never use Room Redesign, nothing is sent to Replicate.)
Your control: You can avoid any cloud processing by not using Room Redesign.
Important: Room Redesign requires an internet connection.
3. Third-Party Services
While Roomify itself does not require you to create an account and does not sell your personal data, we use third-party services for specific purposes:
a. Firebase Crashlytics (by Google)
Purpose: App crash reporting and performance monitoring.
Data Collected: Crash logs and related device/app information (e.g., device type and app version).
Notes: Crash reports may be retained by Crashlytics for a period of time (e.g., around 90 days) before removal processes begin.
b. RevenueCat
Purpose: Subscription management and in-app purchases.
Data Collected: Purchase/subscription and transaction-related data used to manage entitlements.
Refund Requests and Consumption Data
If you request a refund for an in-app purchase, we may share consumption data related to the purchase with Apple to assist with the resolution.
c. Replicate (AI Processing for Room Redesign)
Purpose: Runs AI models to generate redesigned images.
Data Processed: The image you submit for redesign, your selected style/options, and any text prompt you enter (if applicable).
Retention (Replicate): Replicate states that predictions created via its API are automatically removed after about 1 hour by default.
Subprocessors: Replicate may use subprocessors (cloud and infrastructure providers) to deliver the service.
These third-party services operate independently and have their own privacy policies. Please review them for details.
4. Data Security
We prioritize data security:
For room scanning/measurement, processing happens on-device.
For Room Redesign, the selected image and inputs are transmitted to Replicate over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for processing and returned to your device.
5. Your Rights
On-device data: Room scans, measurements, and redesigned images are stored on your device unless you choose to export/share them.
Third-party data: Some data may be handled by third-party providers (Crashlytics, RevenueCat, Replicate) as described above. If you have concerns related to data they process, review their privacy policies and/or contact them directly.
Opt-out: You can avoid Replicate processing by not using Room Redesign.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
